For these examples, I’m going to use Leadpages because I think it’s the absolute easiest way of creating landing pages and getting insights into performance.
There are some affiliate links – use ’em or don’t.
But we’d appreciate a little love to buy some tasty 🌮🌮🌮
You DON’T have to use Leadpages.
You can use WordPress. (This post was made using the Divi Builder)
I’d recommend Divi, or Thrive Themes to create awesome landing pages if you prefer not to use Leadpages.
The setup for WordPress is easy. Follow the steps to insert the code.
But rather than putting the javascript in the analytics section, you’ll paste the code in the head of your WP site.
How to use Leadpages to Create a Messenger Landing Page:
Select your leadpages template:

Create a Many Chat Growth Tool: Messenger Checkbox
See Messenger basics for how to setup the button.
Then go to setup and copy the Many Chat Script:

Decide if you’re going to create a 1 step or 2 step opt-in
1 step opt-in
We’re going to insert a facebook check button directly into the leadpages template.Copy the Manychat script into your leadpage:

Insert an HTML widget into your Leadpage:
Put the widget where you want the Facebook Button to show up. Copy the Many Chat Embed Widget Code and paste it in to your leadpage

Here’s what the final landing page will look like:

2 Step Opt-in
There are some great reasons to use a 2 step opt-in form.According to
Also, the messenger button has a white background. You can’t change it because it comes directly from facebook.
Here’s how:
Create or use a standard leadpages button

Link the button as a Leadbox

Next insert the ManyChat Script
You’ll place the code in the leadbox analytics section. Even if you’ve pasted into your page previously, you still have to paste it here.

Place the many chat widget embed code into the leadbox.
Use the code widget. (same process as the 1 step opt-in)

Here’s what your leadbox will look like:

Now deliver the lead magnet in messenger.

If you create your landing page this way – you’ll want to followup and ask for an email address as well (See the video about multi-touch marketing)
Alternative LeadPage Flow
If you’d rather collect an email address first – you can. Simply create a normal Leadpage.
Then create a “success” leadpage. The person will be redirect to the page on successful completion of an opt-in.
On that page you’ll insert your ManyChat button. And deliver the opt-in bonus via messenger.
After creating the leadpage – setup the success redirect:

Place the Messenger Button
On the success page place your ManyChat button and let the user know that you’ll deliver the leadmagnet by messenger.

Facebook Messenger destination Ad
Go to your ad account or Facebook Power Editor.
And create a new guided campaign.
Choose the Traffic Marketing Objective.

Choose where to send your traffic & configure your audience

Insert the Json from ManyChat
If you don’t use ManyChat you can create the json inside the facebook ad.
Just use the “quick creation” tool instead of the json creation (2nd image down).

Subscribe by Facebook Comment
For example: Derek Halpern – asks a compelling question in his post. The question is short, easy to answer and gets comments. After which Derek can follow-up with everyone who commments.

The way comments to messenger work, the user has to comment a second time. That’s why Derek’s saying type “show me” in this first message.
After which he follows up with the content:

Here’s how to set up a Facebook Comment to Messenger Flow for Yourself:
Create your facebook post on your page
Make sure you explicitly say that you’ll be contacting whoever comments in Messenger.

Create a Facebook Comment tool in many chat. Pick the post that you’ve just created.

How your message will be triggered:
Decide if you want to message everyone who comments or only if they comment with a specific reply (keyword/s).
It’s best practice to exclude negative intent words (ie. no, not now) from triggering the message.

Now the commenter will get your message. But, you’re not done yet. If you stop now, the person will only get the first message.
You have to setup a trigger word/s to subcribe the prospect to your sequence.
Go to: Automation –> Keywords
And choose a trigger word or words that will subscribe the person to your sequence.
Remember, the words should be short and easy because the person will have to type them in to trigger the sequence.
